Bobby makes me jealous...however, I have had an absolutley wonderful weekend of soccer myself. The IWCC womens team knocked 7 balls in the net and held back from scoring as they worked on possesion for nearly 40 minutes against a 4 year school. Mind you it was a Division 3 school, we humiliated them, as they did not earn a single shot on goal. The IWCC Men...wow...the most talented group of players I have ever had the priveldege to train. They beat the same schools (Buena Vista University) men's team 3-1 and out shot their opponents 22-4. Bobby gets a brownie point for this one as he introduced a system of play to me last week, I studied it and sold it to Coach Bennett and the boys and the boys confirmed that it was a good sale as they played nearly perfect in a 2-3-3-2 formation. It was fun and fast. If you go to this link you will see some pictures. There are 70 of them. I can be seen in Gray Cargo Shorts folding my arms on the sideline in Picture #38.
THE IWCC matches were also part of the "Meet the Reivers" night. We had nearly 500 people in the crowd, the players threw autographed shirts and soccer balls to the crowd and after the match they made themselves available to sign autographs. The kids ate it up...You can see pictures by clicking here. The girls in the pink shirts are my U14's. The girls in Green jerseys are my U17's. All of the other girls getting autographs in the summer camp shirts are some of the younger teams in the club. It was a very rewarding day for me as I got to witness the development of soccer in this community. I am very proud and grateful to be part of the development of soccer in this community.
So Saturday, the total goals for teams coached was 10, total allowed 1.
Sunday, I made it to early morning sacrament and headed to Lincoln befor the closing song. My cherrished U14's moved up a division, as they were division 2 champions last spring. They were playing their first Division 1 match. I was nervous, as was not sure what to expect. The girls came out looking sharp offensively and unorganized defensively. They got scroed on in the 5th minute...after that it was all us as we won 4-1. It was a great way to start thier season. 3 hours after the 14's kicked off I had to be back in Omaha 50 Miles away) for my U17 Girls first Game of the fall. I had my assistant warm them up and start them in a standard 4-4-2. I showed up with 5 minutes left in the first half, I watched 5 minutes, realized we were the dominant team, changed the formation to 3-4-3 and the final result was 4-0 in our favor. It was a fun weekend.
Total goals for teams coached over the weekend was 18, total allowed 2.
The IWCC men play Monday night against Bobbys old rival when he was at William Penn. Grandview College is an NAIA school with a ton of tradition and experience. The two coaches are people that both Bobby and I have a ton of respect for. It is a scrimmage match, so it should be a good time! Bobby I will tell Blair and Ventsi hello for you!
I hope all is well. I am very busy with club and college soccer. It is a great feeling to be developing and maturing as a soccer coach and as a person.

I got to go to The Real Salt Lake vs Real Madrid soccer game last week.
It was a good game Madrid won 2-0.
Robinho scored the one goal while the other was a PK by Van Nistelrooy.
It was said that Real Salt Lake would be a much easier rival than D.C. United, but the Utah-based team's desire to please their fans, to put on a good show, and to embarrass Real Madrid, gave the Whites a tougher time than anyone expected. Raúl, along with Cassano, created the play that led to a penalty in the first half, and Robinho, who found the back of the net in the second half, can share Man of the Match honours for Capello's side. Van Nistelrooy made his Madrid scoring debut by netting the penalty kick. The North American team played most of the second half with ten men on the pitch after Harris was sent off due to a hard tackle on Sergio Ramos.
Soooooo many of the worlds BEST players all on one pitch. Beckham was cool to see in person but I enjoyed seing Roberto Carlos---One of my Favorite defenders from Brazil.

It completely slipped my mind. So here is the report. Spencer: "It's really fun to see him there up on the stands. It's weird since he is usually sitting by us." John: Every question I asked John he said yeah. So I guess that he likes it. Me: I think it is so weird seeing my dad up on the stand but I think that it's good that he's able to be the bishop. Maybe he can help people come back to our ward. I have faith in him.

Good to hear how everyone is doing. I thought I would let everyone know what is going on here in New Jersey.
The phone has started ringing a lot. On Sunday, the calls started about three and didn't end until after nine. The other night Bryan and I were going to start watching a movie at nine and the phone rang. He didn't get off the call until after ten. I think this may be a trend. It is all good though and doesn't really bother us that much.
The kids have been on pins and needles waiting for their teacher letters to arrive. Abby was on the phone with four different girlfriends last night and there was a lot of high pitched squealing going on. When Spencer turned to me and asked why his friends hadn't called I told him, "Boys don't do that Spence." He looked at Abby dancing all over the place and said, "Yea, I guess your right." There is a lot of girl stuff going on around here lately. I guess we are moving into that era. I overheard a one sided conversation yesterday about he benefits of lip gloss. Ugh, I am so glad boys don't do that. I guess with them it is something different, like when John asks if I want to hear a funny joke and after I say yes he burps and laughs hysterically. I just don't know what could be funnier than that.
Poor John is convinced that he is going to school just like Abby and Spencer. I am not looking forward to the trauma that is likely to occur when the bus rolls away without him. Oh well.
So that is like in a nutshell here. We are busy like everyone else. Our best to all of you.

Cassy needed new string for her gas weed eater and i needed new string for my electric weed eater. So we spent a bit of time getting Cassies apart and wound up and mine wound up and then after the fact we decided this was such exciting stuff that we needed to share it on the blogg so we got Marie to take pictures of us having a weed eater duel and then poseing so everyone can see what wonderful homosapien examles of industry we are not to mention how suave and debonair. That last sentence really makes one wanna gagge so feel free to hurel at ant time and we will join you!

if you go to the church webside lds.org and go to the pdf section of church publications you can get access to this month's Friend. There will be an index on the left side of the screen and you can go to the sharing time section. There are always about six different ideas for sharing time in each month's issue. They always include songs to sing and great all around ideas. I think these ideas are usually the best source since they follow the current primary theme and are approved by the church.

We took a walk a few weeks ago and were able to 'listen' to the wheat fields in the breeze. Last week we took the same walk with Bernadette (MIL). It's haying season now and the fields are all full of rows of cut wheat or bales of hay. Luckily we got Alienor and Guillaume off the 'hay ball' (as the kids call them) because not 5 minutes later along came a tractor and truck to load them up and carry them away.
The kids got a kick out of Granny on Alienor's bike. They didn't know Granny could ride a bike because she's so old! Considering she's not much bigger than Alienor, the bike fit just fine. Of course the tires weren't pumped up quite enough to take the additional weight!

Well, Sunday was a big day for our family. Being made a Bishop is really an interesting process, but one that our family will always be grateful to have been a part of. All three members of the new Bishopric had to be set apart as High Priests so there was a lot to do after church. The blessings were amazing and I have to say that I feel an extra sense of protection for our family after all that was said. Unlce Ed asked Abby to let everyone know what she and Spencer and John thought of their dad being made the Bishop which she is working on. Thought you might like to see a picture of the happy new Bishopric of the Medford, New Jersey Ward.

Happy Anniversary Cindi and David. Much happiness to both of you.
We have had an interesting last few weeks. Lots of things have been going on and we have really wondered what direction life was going to take us in. Last night we had a very clear answer to that question. Bryan was called to be the new Bishop of our ward. He will be a young Bishop, only 35, but we both believe he is ready for the responsibility and feel a deep sense of gratitude that the Lord would entrust him to preside over our ward. (Ed I will call you)

Congratulations to Cindi and David on their Third Anniversary.
Mom wanted me to do this last night but last night it wasn't the
second of August yet! Now as I write this at 7pm pdt it is the morning
of the Third in Spain! I can't win. Three years ago at this time we were in
the recepition line and my feet were killing me but I digress. It was a beauiful
evening and we were happy for both of them. We are even happier now that
they have survived three years and still enjoy each others company. May they
remain happy in the years to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow Andy and Ninha, what a lot of stuff going on. I can't believe Exton, PA is one of your choices. That is only 15 minutes from where we lived in PA and now its about an hour and 15. You may not be ready for PA, but what a great option. Exton has become one of the hotter further out Philly suburbs because of the land to build on. Whatever your decision I know you will land solidly on your feet, specially with a guaranteed job.
