More apartment and three wonderful dinner that Jimmy prepared for us.  This first dinner was a pork roast that was yummy and the carrots and broccoli  were wonderful.

For the last several years Jim has lived in government subsidized housing.

His current apartment is very comfortable and provides for a

nice living experience.

Cristina and her family will be out of town easter weekend so I´m planning a little easter egg hunt for Daniela this Sunday. Hope the eggs turn out ok....painting brown eggs isn´t quite as fun as white eggs!!

Spring cleaning and LITTLE home improvements

Thanks to IKEA, poor people are able to make little home improvements without going even more in debt (well, almost!!).

First project of the day...hanging the mirror.

Last project (and Davids least favorite) of the day....a new faucet.

We had put a different faucet in when we moved in....but we didn´t put it in right so it was always wobbely (no idea how to spell that!), so it´s very nice to have one that´s not!

This one isn´t thanks to ikea....

(p.s. don´t look at the super dirty window behind the lovely new faucet! I did clean it today, just AFTER taking this picture!)

I have to say thanks to David because he doesn´t hate my home improvement ideas and projects, but he´s not so fond of helping!

After the project I actually did spring cleaning too! What a fun day off!

our "big" tree

I don´t remember if I sent these to mom and dad, so..... here are some pictures of our new "big" tree we had this year.

Puting it together isn´t quite as fun as going to buy a yummy smelling real tree, but I have to admit it makes a lot less MESS than a real tree.

Day in Barcelona

We had a doctors appointment in Barcelona yesterday and I had the day off, so we decided to spend the day there.
We went to a cute store that u can buy in bulk (its no costco though!!) As you can see it's to buy beans, nuts,spices and candy mostly. They even had cocolate chips in a big bag....miracle!!! So we stocked up and headed for the old part of town.
I love the old part of town...the little streets and old buildings. After walking around, for quite some time, david decided he wanted his happy birthday/yipee the project is over lunch at hard rock cafe (thanks mom and dad).
After lunch (4pm) we headed to one last place before heading home....a little russian supermarket. I have a russian girl that works with me and one day we went to eat at her house and i feel in love with, what they call, russian ravioli. And they put a hot sauce on it thats so yummy. So since we were in barcelona we had to go get some.
Throughout the day we took a total of 2 train rides and 6 metros and did a lot of walking.

We had a nice day.
