Seeing as how this is the last day that Jocelyn and family have to enjoy southern California, we decided to visit the beach one last time. Even though the water was freezing, the kids wanted to play around in the waves. After playing at the beach for about an hour, we walked across the railroad tracks and had a great dinner at famous Olamendi's. Best mexican cuisine in the Orange County area! Later tonight is the birthday party for Guillaume and Drew. More pictures on the way!
UNLUCKY:

Well, this last weekend we had an emotional roller coaster with our soccer pograms. The girls started off the weekend by scoring 7 goals and winning 7-0 in the semis. The guys played a very determined opponent and squeeked by 1-0. Sunday we had both teams in the region finals. the women kicked off at 11 a.m. The girls followed our game plan and at half time we had out shot our oponents 8-0. We should have been up 2 or 3 to nothing. We looked amazing. Suddenly the luck turned around. The opposition got a shot off in the 18 box, it went off of our all american goal keepers chect and landed right back at the shooters feet. Somehow the rolling ball made it in with no angle and 3 Reivers panicing to get to it. We ended losing 1-0 and out shooting them 12-2. Yes...their two shots were the two i just told you about.

LUCKY:

The womens match ended and as coaches had 30 minutes to regroup and relax...we wer actualy very proud of our girls..they won and lost in class. Anyway, the boys began warming up at 1:15 and kicked off at 2 p.m. We had played this team twice this season...both games ended in 1-1 ties after double over time play. So here we are after 220 minutes...no favorite (even though we were the top seed). The game was fast, passionat and explosive. The officials kept it undr control and was a BLAST to watch. it was 0-0 at half time. neither team could break the others defense down. With 27 minutes remaining in regulation one of our boys had a ball bounce his way 40 yarsds out, recognized the keeper was out of position and but the ball straight to the back of the net, likely the prettiest goal i have ever been able say....thats my payer! It was his first goal of the season, and at half time i had moved him from center mid to striker...so i felt like i was smart for 10 seconds. It was a lucky goal...he could not do it again, but it was as we refere to as "sexy socce" here at IWCC. 9 minutes later, our defense made a dumb error and the ball went in our net...not nearly as pretty as our goal..but all thta matters it that it crossed the line. We wnet in to overtime, then double overtime. At this point it was 5:04 p.m. Yes we kicked off at 2 p.m.. we had been playing for three hours. I will not bash, because I have some very beloved family members that stem from this culture but we had 45 minutes in the first half, 10 minute half time, 45 minutes in the second half, 5 minutes in between regulation and 2 minutes between the two overtime periods..lets do the math 45+45=90+10=100+5+10=115+2=117+10=127...2 hours and 7 minutes of accounted for time...you might ask, "what about the other hour?" The 6 Brazillians on the other team flop after flop, roll after roll, shreak and cry after shreak and cry. we spent nearly 20 minutes tending to them...that 2 hours 27 minutes. These are the guys that lats time we played them punched our capatain, an r.m. that served in Brazil and loved their culture and said, "I will not loose to a WHITE TEAM." Their head coach, he too from Brazil is the worst of them all. sweat pants and a stained t shirt to coach in...if i didnt know better...nevermind. back to the match. 4 minutes remaining in the second overitime. One of the Brazillian boys goes up for a header on a corner and knocked heads with one of our players. Thsi guy had fallen down more than a dozen times, so we had no smypathy for him when he went down. He got knocked out. The trainers assesed him for 10 minutes, the ambulance arrived 10 minutes later, it took them 15 minutes to get him off of the field ((he walked). The little shepard boy that cried wolf all game long finaly got the wolf and nobody cared. We played the final 4 minutes....so added time again: 2 hours 27 +10 +15 +10=3 hours and 2 minutes. we went intio a shoot out.

Round one: they scored, we shot the first one at the keeper
Round two: we scored, they scored, both shots, the keepers put a hand on
Round three: we score, they hit the post
2-2
Round four: we score, they score
Round five they score, we score
4-4
suddend death shots:
they hit the post. we score
3 hours 28 minutes and 31 seconds after the original kick off we have a mens conference champion...We head to Chicago Thursday at 1 to play #5 College of Dupage at noon on Saturday. We win we go to nationals in tyler texas. We loose we done.

the boys have not lost a game in 10 straight matches, have only allowed 19 goals and have an amazing record of 14-3-3. For a mens team that has played 11 nationaly ranked team...we are pretty freakin happy!

Love y'all

Dad...i sent you some mail today ;)

One more night of "Trick or Treat" has come and gone. Drew was Spiderman and Shawnna was the Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four. Fun was had by all. It was great for Shawnna to have other kids to go out with instead of just her boring, old parents. As you can tell by the pictures, Drew was not going to let us put that mask on him. Lucky for us we could control him long enough to take a few pictures.
For all of you Ginn kids, how many times can you remember lining up along those stairs to take our pictures for Halloween? I can't remember a year that I lived here that we didn't line up and take a picture. My favorite was when Marion, Bobby, Nathan were all dressed up as girls. I think so, at least. Or maybe it was just Bobby that was dressed up as a girl. If you can remember, let me know! I'd love to walk down memory lane sometime about that one!
More pictures on the way.

Hey there everyone,
We are all still alive and kicking, even after taking 6 kids, 7 with Ninha, for a two-day tri p to the Happiest Place on Earth! We had a fun breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen and all the kids got to eat with a lot of the characters from Disneyland. We saw the parade twice, went on the newly re-designed Space Mountain, and the kids thought the Monorail was one of the best rides in the park!
Even though Drew couldn't ride any of the rides, he still got a chance to "feel" like he was driving through fun-filled Autopia!
We're going to have a combined birthday party for Drew and Guillaume this weekend, hopefully!
Well, hope all of these plans come together for Thanksgiving. It would be great to see everyone next month. If not, whatever!
We're here if anyone needs anything.
With love, the Normands

I added a couple of pictures. They are no the most close up or detailed, but they are all i have got for now...hope to have more next week. The one of Just me is a cropped shot of me standing in line during sophomore night. The non cropped is the same, but with the entire line...to the left of me is the athletic director, brenda hampton and the school president, Dr. Dan Kinney. To the right are sophomores and their parents. And yes it was that cold!!!!!!!!

Jeff,
Keep in mind that the pop could have been anything. Also, the trainers probably did a Drawer test on your knee. THis is the classic test for an ACL. You probably have laxity in that ligament after the surgery anyway. They usually don't get it as tight as it was orginally. THerefore, that test would have been positive even before you hurt it again. Where is the swelling? and where does it hurt? Let the trainers work with it for at least 4-6 weeks before you do anything like surgery, also make sure they do an MRI and can say for sure that the ACL was torn again. We get a lot of people in here who think the tore something. Usually after a month of therapy they are good to go. Ultrasound, estim and light massage will help the inflammation, take some advil also. Ice and elevate. Get some crutches, the more you use it in the first couple of weeks, the longer the healing time... you need to give it time for the inflammation to reduce. When you try to walk on it, its like ripping the scab off everytime you take a step. You should do that for about 1-2 weeks (On crutches). Give me some more details and I can give you some other exercises to do....

Love ya,
Nathan

PS: We had a great time at D-World only a little rain. Brandi took about 1000 pictures, that is an underestimation. So, I should have some pics to post soon.

After icing it, sleeping it off, and hobbling in to the office today...I got to use the luxury of our trainers. I did not like what they had to say...I will relax this weekend, and re check it on Monday, but likely going to have to do the entire ACL thing all over again. Does not thing the meniscus it retorn, but the ACL...likely going to have to do it all over again. Fun stuff I know!

Sadly, I have been very careful with my knee and was not doing anything that should have caused this to happen. Oh well, one more of lifes little disasters. Set backs are great aren't they?

I will keep you BLOGGED about the knee as I learn and deal with it more.

Happy as can be,

Jeffery Jon

Pictures of the new car. We bought it about a month ago. So far David loves it. I only get to ride in it when we go to church!!
So I called mom and dad today (11pm their time, 8am my time) becuase I had turned off my alarm clock and over slept. This ment that I hade missed my train and ride to work. This ment a "sick day". I felt horribly bad about it so I called them to get some sympathy (which of course I didn´t get) but it did help me get my mind off of feeling guilty.

I love this blog thing. I love to see your pictures and hear what´s happening with everyone. Bobby just to let you know, your wife... she´s beautiful! Your kids are adorable. And you... have fuzzy stuff all around your mouth! I always put a picture of family on the destktop and because Brandi has her site and I can get more pictures, that way I always have her girls on the computer. But since we´ll be sharing more pics on this sight I´ll be able to have a bit more variety (not that I don´t like have my cute neices on the computer!) Now I have your family picture on the desktop. It´s a great picture. Tell Stacia and Landon to stop growing, at least until I can see them next month! I´m excited about your house!! I´m sure it feels good to finally see that some day you will have a house of your own. David and I started looking for apartments (because that is a house here and they cost just as much) but decided we needed to what a little while longer. OH, one other thing. I´d like to get on the webcam with you guys some time (by sometime I mean saturday or sunday mornings for you). I´ll try to get on tomorrow and check every now and then.

Hope the Nathan Ginn Family is having fun at Disney World.

Hope it´s nothing serious Jeff!

Mom and Dad, thanks for talking to me even though it was so late for you!

love you all.
(if the spelling is bad or phrases don´t make sense, just remember I speak and think in a different language 24 hours a day, and forgive me!!)

Well the Bobby Ginn Family has finally BLOGGED!! It looks like we are building a house. It should be done in April or May!!! We will be residents of Lehi. We are excited!!!!

Here are some pictures of our mini vacation to boulder Nevada. This Mansion overlooks Lake Mead and is 30 minutes into Vegas. We had fun. The place is owned by Craig Tillotson(one of the founders of NU Skin). Gina's sister's inlaws invited us to go(they are the lawyer for Craig)

The Kids had fun in the pools... Yes pools. 2 pools, 2 jacuzzis, a kids pool,3 story water slide. Most of the stuff is from the Casino Treasure Island and the whole place is pirate themed. When you enter the slide a sensor is triggered and the whole place is overwhelmed with Pirates of the Caribbean music, Laser lights, motion detected pirates singing and much more. Unbelievable stuff.

The best part about it is that I put $1 in a slot machine and won $125. It was nice of the Sunset Casino to pay for the trip!!!

Well lots is going on in the family and it is nice of everyone to blog once in a while so we can all keep up.
Hopefully all is well with everyone. It is fun catching up with one another. I have to admit, being away from everyone is taking its toll on me. Soccer is all I do these days. My club girls, that are seriously not good, got accepted into one of the most prestigious tournaments in the nation and will be heading to Texas from Dec. 2-4. It is nicem out here, people are not so stingy...they are actually going to fly me down there so i can be at meetings the night before the tournament begins. The tournament is going to pay for all of my rooming and food because I am a college coach and will be there recruiting as well...should be exciting! I am going to try and see if Adam and Cassaundra want to come and see me, but i will be in Dallas and they will be in the Houston area if I am not mistaken.

Anyway, if the IWCC boys and girls make it to nationals, late November/early Dec. will be brutal on the air miles. Nov19-21 ti texas or phoenix for nationals...Nov.22-30th-Utah for t-day...Dec. 2nd-4th texas for club girls tournament. Should be a brutal few weeks out of the suitcase.

Love and miss y'all!!!!!!
