Hooray for me!!! The last four weeks on Thursday evenings. I have been taking a class offered by the church and local ham operators. It was taught by a member of our ward. I took it in order to take the exam to become a licensed amateur radio operator at level one technician. Now I am a
ham and am able to help out in an emergency in the stake.

My dad always wanted to become a ham operator but when he was alive you had to know Morse code and he could never manage to learn it even tho he tried several times. It is no longer needed to get a license. Anyway, I have studied the manual and taken the practice test many times on line the last week or so. So much so that I had the answers pretty much memorized. I only missed one on the real test tonight and it was something I never found in my studying - so I am happy.
Would have loved to have gotten 100% but 97% is not too bad - I beat Bob Douglas he missed two and tied Gordon Quayle- so I can go to church Sunday and hold my head up - YEA, YEA, YEA

Ty C,
Nice to see that David still enjoys your company and being with you. Great scenery!
Remember we almost went that way home but decided to make an end run instead.

andorra

The weekend before I started working again David surprised me with a little getaway trip to Andorra. As you can see on this super-duper map, Andorra is the little teeny-tiny country stuck between France and Spain (follow blue arrows!!). Terrassa (that´s where I live) is the purple and yellow dot (follow the yellow arrow!!) It took us just under 3 hours to get there.

It´s a big ski and shopping area. We didn´t go skiing but it was fun to be in the snow.
It was a nice weekend.

Winter Fun in Lehi

Gina and the kids piled up the snow against the back wall so they could sled down it on their new sleds!

Bobby helped the kids make a snowwoman and then put clothes on her!

Jeff had the opportunity to enjoy New Years Eve with Lauren MC Coy and her family last nite and today they are out and about. There is a soccer connection but you will need to get that info from Jeff. I just think it is nice that he has someone his age to spend time with besides us oldies.
Love to all. DAD

Officially Spanish

Christmas of 2009 I officially became Spanish (in my book)....I have a pigs leg in my kitchen!
David received it as a gift from one of his sub-contractors (I would never buy one).
It´s ugly, but I do have to admit that it´s pretty yummy.
