Something's Missing

Stacia's front teeth have been wiggling for awhile now and one of them had gotten pretty loose, but of course she wouldn't let us pull it out. Then, a few days ago, she and Landon were running around and she hit her tooth on something and it didn't come out but it was bleeding pretty bad. So, I convinced her to just let me pull it out which ended up being a little tougher than I expected, I wish I had a picture of her face, she was in shock I think. Needless to say, I don't believe she will ever stand still for me to do that again, but the tooth is out and she looks super cute. Of course the tooth fairy came and she was very excited about that. I feel like she is getting too grown up.

HI ALL! Shawnna's birthday was on Saturday, 1-10 but it started early on Friday evening. Everyone piled into the car and was off to the movies to see the new Adam Sandler flic 'Bedtime Stories.' Shawnna said it was pretty funny, even Andy thought it was good, of course, he really likes Adam Sandler...

The next morning, Andy made special chocolate chip peanut pancakes with cinnamon streusel topping for the Birthday Girl. It was her own recipe and they look really scrumpuous!! Wish I'd been there to enjoy too!

For her 8th Birthday, Shawnna decided it was time to get her ears pierced, so, it was off to the 'Piercing Pagoda' at the local shopping mall. Of course, it takes a while to pick out just the right pair of studs to do the job! Especially with your little brother trying to help!

Once the selection is made it's time to get in the chair and mark the spot! Ever realizing the time is getting closer to...

Then Dad gives a little encouragment as the tension mounts!

Here comes the needle - ready or not!!

The moment of truth!! The deed is done - now the real pain starts to set in!

And now the tears are flowing, but not for long! The pain finally subsides and she thinks she'll live, but I can't quite tell if Shawnna thinks this was a good idea or not or maybe it won't be so bad after all - she hopes!!

Now it's time to go have some 'real birthday' fun! The family 'raced' off to the DC Convention Center for some 'MotoCross Racing' - which I'm sure Shawnna thought was way more exciting and less painful that getting your ears pierced!!

Later that night back at home, Shawnna looks happy about getting her ear's pierced and shows off her new earrings and a smile!

Well - face book has attacked the family so there is no time for blogging I guess. It was 82 degrees in so cal today and no snow. There isn't much to report since there are no holidays oooops MLK day on Monday post pictures of what you do to celebrate this day off??????!!!! I don't think I will be watching too much TV next week cause all the good shows will be pre-empted for something else. I cleaned the garage and worked on my continuing ed course so I can renew my tech licence before March 1. Helped mom reconcile the business account and watched some tv.
thanks for all the photos of the grand kids we always love and appreciate them.
Now it is your turn to just write about nothing like I JUST DID. Looks like Marion fell of the blogging cliff and Cindi too she could always show us how skinny she is getting on the no carb diet.
