We stopped on our way out to get a photo next to the "snack stand" mural. Pictured are Cindi, Alexa, Nathan, Ed, and Marie.
Here she is struggling with Aunt Cindi. They had fun kicking water at each other and Alexa was trying to get Cindi as wet as she was.
Alexa was hoping to find some sea shells, but with the recent storms there were more rocks and kelp on the beach than anything else. Although the water was a cool 57 degrees, that didn't stop Alexa from getting in the waves. She thought it was great and was pretty fearless, even when she got knocked down by an unexpected wave.

When we discovered that the Oceanic Institute was closed, we drove down to North Beach. This beach is where I spent a lot of time in the water as a teenager with my friend Kenny Virgin. This is a sand crab in Alexas hand, they were all over the place and easy to catch. Alexa thought it was fun how they "hopped."
