Some very sad news. Matt Larsen's son Matt was struck by a car and died last evening. Ron Holst and I went and gave Dayton and Irene (Susan's mom) a blessing. Susan was in the bedroom sobbing so very hard. She is such a tender heart I felt her pain so much. They didn't know much about how it happened but never the less he is gone. Please take care of your little ones. No one should have to endure the loss of a child. It is very painful even with the knowledge of the plan of salvation and Christ's resurrection as a buffer.
Love you all very much.

A 5-year-old boy was hit by a car and killed near Utah State University housing Monday, police said.
Matthew Cole Larson was playing with several other children on a dead-end street near the West Stadium Villa at 780 East and 1200 North in Logan, said university police chief Steve Mecham.
About 6 p.m., a 23-year-old woman drove up, parked her car, and ran inside the complex to get something from a friend, Mecham said. She returned to her car and started to leave. She thought the children were all clear, but when she started to back out she hit Matthew, trapping him underneath the car. She pulled forward, freeing him, and a neighbor called 911.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Logan Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. University police, Logan police and the Utah Highway Patrol are investigating. The woman will likely be cited, and may face charges, Mecham said.
The West Stadium Villa is housing for married USU students and their families.
